About

I have worked as a graphic designer in the communications department of an Australian NGO for over seven years.

Typical NGO resource constraints have meant that my role has been stretched beyond straightforward graphic design to include video editing, merchandising and more.

I was privileged to go on a field trip to
Papua New Guinea to photograph
Australian volunteers at work in the field.
I came across this shot when I saw a
woman and child perfectly framed against
a bright background, selling even brighter
coloured drinks in Goroka, Papau New Guinea

Why specialise in design for this sector?

Well, it's definitely not for the money!

I am passionate about using my skills for a good cause and am keen to continue to work with other NGOs, not-for-profits, volunteer and community organisations. I fell into this sector over seven years ago with no prior knowledge, but over this time I have enjoyed learning about issues and have become passionate about working for a good cause.

I understand that NGOs and not-for-profits have limited resources and budgets, but they don’t need to look like it! Well-designed materials and publications tied to your brand identity or your organisation’s vision and values don’t have to cost a lot and they demonstrate your professionalism and your commitment to your cause, and can entice people to become involved/donate money – whatever your goals.

Rates

I offer reduced rates for NGOs, not-for-profits, charities and community organisations.

I won't be charging you through the roof every time a small change is made. I am happy to agree to a total project price at the start of a project. And just because I charge discounted rates, this won't mean time, quality or attention to detail will be compromised.

If provding quotes from suppliers like printers - these will be direct from the suppliers,
I won't be adding my own mark ups.

I will also provide a copy of the finished artwork in editable format, so you can edit
in-house (if you have the capacity) for future re-prints, etc.
